English Conversation Groups

The English Conversation Group Program promotes friendship and understanding between our English-speaking conversation group leaders and international students, scholars and spouses. It also provides an opportunity to practice and improve your English language skills through informal conversations.

Conversation groups usually consist of four to five international students and the English-speaking group leader. The weekly one-hour meetings are held at the Slutzker Center during office hours.  This program was founded in 1987 by our beloved Riet Dekleermaeker.

The program is free of charge. If you would like to join a group, complete the English Conversation Group sign-up form.  The program director will contact you once the groups have been formed.  To help us properly schedule you for a group, please apply after you have registered for classes.
