University Judicial Board/Peer Education Team Applications Available

Are you interested in the judicial system? Would you like to be the member of a board that judges student infractions?

The Office of Judicial Affairs is looking for students to participate on the University Judicial board/Peer Education Team (UJB/PET). The mission of the UJB/PET is to participate in judicial hearings and develop programs that encourage civility and good citizenship. This is an opportunity for you to become a leader and to develop skills in facilitation and conflict resolution. Graduates and undergraduates, with a suggested GPA of above 2.5, are welcome to apply.

Safety and Traveling During Spring Break

  • Use a reputable travel agency.
  • Learn as much as you can about your destination.
  • If you are driving, select the safest routes, using current maps and travel information.
  • Choose reputable hotels and motels (recommended by travel agency or auto club, etc.)
  • Pack wisely. Being overburdened with luggage makes you more of a target.
  • Avoid packing valuables or items you cannot afford to replace or have stolen.
  • Never leave luggage unattended.
  • Dress wisely (avoid looking like a tourist).
  • Leave a complete travel schedule with a trusted family member of friend (where and when you
    will be at a location and how you can be reached).
  • Leave copies of driver's license, passport, and credit cards with a trusted friend or family member, in case of loss.
  • Free Syracuse Symphony Tickets Available

    Through the generosity of the Syracuse Symphony, supported by the International Center of Syracuse, we are distributing 40 free tickets to student and scholar members of the International Center of Syracuse. If you are a member, and would like 1-2 tickets for tonight's performance (Friday February 8), please contact Pat Burak by email, paburak@syr.edu. If tickets are still available after 4 p.m., Pat will give those tickets to any student or scholar, whether or not they are a member of ICS.
